Product Type

Oral drench for the treatment and control of liver fluke infection (fascioliasis) in sheep, goats and cattle.

Properties

Fasinex® is a ready-to-use oral drench.

The active ingredient in Fasinex is triclabendazole (100g/L). Fasinex is effective against triclabendazole-sensitive strains of Fasciola hepatica. Triclabendazole has unique efficacy against Early Immature, Immature and mature stages of Liver Fluke. This makes it particularly useful for treating outbreaks of acute and chronic fascioliasis, and for the strategic control of Fasciola infections.

The efficacy of Fasinex against all three stages of liver fluke also accelerates the recovery of health, and thus productivity.

Indications

For the treatment of triclabendazole-sensitive Early Immature, Immature and Mature Liver Fluke (Fasciola hepatica) in sheep, cattle and goats.

Fasinex may be given to lambs, pregnant or lactating ewes and does, or weak or debilitated animals. Fasinex may be given to calves, pregnant cows or weak or debilitated animals.

A representative sample of animals should be weighed before treatment. Dose the mob to the heaviest animal (by liveweight) in each group. DO NOT underdose. Where there is a large variation in size within the group, dose rate should be based on the label directions for each weight range. Drafting into two or more lines may be appropriate, to avoid excessive overdosing.
