Product Type
Oral broad spectrum drench for the treatment and control of liver fluke infection (fascioliasis), roundworms, lungworm, nasal bot and itchmite in sheep.
Properties
Fasimec® Sheep is a ready-to-use oral flukicide and broad spectrum drench.
The active ingredients in Fasimec Sheep Oral are triclabendazole (50g/L) and ivermectin (1g/L). Triclabendazole has unique efficacy against early immature, immature and mature stages of Liver fluke. Ivermectin is a member of the Macrocyclic Lactone family of drenches. It provides a broad spectrum of activity against specific ivermectin-sensitive internal and external parasites.
Indications
Fasimec Sheep Oral is for the treatment of triclabendazole-sensitive early immature, immature and mature liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica) in sheep. Also for the treatment and control of ivermectin-sensitive strains of roundworms and lungworm (including benzimidazole, levamisole and morantel-resistant strains), nasal bot and itch mite in sheep.

SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE.
Fasimec Sheep Oral is given by a single oral administration and is palatable to sheep. Suspensions shaken well are suitable for most drenching guns. Wash out equipment with water after use.
Fasimec Sheep Oral may be given at the same time as jetting with Vetrazin®, or most pour-on lousicides. Fasimec Sheep Oral may be given to lambs, pregnant or lactating ewes, or weak or debilitated animals. This product does not stain wool.
A representative sample of animals should be weighed before treatment. Dose the mob to the heaviest animal in each group (ewes, rams, lambs, etc.). DO NOT underdose. Where there is a large variation in size within the group, dose rate should be based on the label directions for each weight range. Drafting into two or more lines may be appropriate, to avoid excessive overdosing.
In areas where Black Disease is known to occur, adequate vaccination procedures are advised.
For parasite management recommendations for your area to reduce resistance development, contact your local veterinarian or animal health adviser.
Withholding Period
MEAT – DO NOT USE less than 21 days before slaughter for human consumption.
ESI – 63 days
MILK – DO NOT USE in lactating ewes or within 28 days of lambing where milk or milk products may be used for human consumption.
