The Flea - Tiny but Dangerous
Fleas can cause problems that scratching can’t solve.
A flea bite itself is uncomfortable and cats will scratch and groom themselves to seek relief. This scratching (and chewing) can damage the skin and allow infections to develop.
Flea bites are also responsible for one of the most common allergies seen in cats – flea allergy dermatitis.
If a cat ingests a flea when grooming, the flea can transmit tapeworms. These intestinal parasites are a frequent and unpleasant problem in domestic animals.
Severe flea infestations can result in significant blood loss for cats, leading to anaemia especially in young kittens.
Cats need constant protection against the dangers that fleas bring.

Intestinal Worms
We love our pets; they enrich our lives in many ways. But as pet owners, we need to be aware that most cats and dogs carry intestinal worms at some point in their lives.
Worms can be hazardous to your pet’s health. An infected pet can also affect the health of people who come into contact with it. This is known as ‘zoonosis’, when a disease is passed from animals to humans.
Fortunately, it’s easy to get rid of most worms and reduce their associated risks.
You can protect your pets and family simply by worming your pets regularly in consultation with your veterinarian or other animal healthcare professional.

Kidney Disease
Kidney failure is one of the most common health problems seen in cats, particularly as they grow older.
Fortunately, scientific developments in recent years have provided ways of slowing the progression of kidney disease. And new treatments can improve the quality of life for a loved pet suffering from kidney failure.
